NFL 2023 schedule

The NFL has announced the schedule and key dates for the 2022-2023 season. Pre-season kicks off on Thursday 4 August with the Hall of Fame Game between the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars. Pre-season matches then continue over three weeks from 11-28 August.

Week 1 of the regular season starts on Thursday 8 September with defending Super Bowl champions Los Angeles Rams facing the Buffalo Bills. Week 18, the final week of the regular season, starts from 8 January 2023. 

For the second time ever, the NFL’s 32 teams will each play 17 games over 18 weeks. Byes will begin in Week 6 and end in Week 14.

2022 NFL Hall of Fame Game

Who: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The NFL’s 2022 International Games were announced on 4 May. The schedule will kick off with back-to-back weekends at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London (2 October and 9 October), followed by one match at Wembley Stadium in London (30 October), one in Munich, Germany (13 November), and one in Mexico City (21 November).

When is the 2023 Super Bowl?

Super Bowl LVII will be held on 12 February 2023 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The 63,400-seat State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, will host its third Super Bowl and first since 2015.

Where will the 2023 NFL Draft take place?

The 2023 NFL Draft will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, from 27-29 April 2023. “This will be one of the biggest and most-anticipated professional sporting events our city has hosted,” said Kathy Nelson, president and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Visit KC. “Not only will fans from around the country be travelling to experience the NFL Draft and NFL Draft Experience, but millions of viewers will see Kansas City in the national spotlight.”

The league has officially expanded its playoffs length from 12 to 14 teams followed by the last season. It means one more from each conference will be qualified for the playoffs and only top-seed teams from AFC and NFC conferences will carry a first-round bye.

NFL has officially been announced for this NFL postseason round, there are slightly different from the last season’s plan fixed by the league. The 2023 AFC conference championship game start time is set at 3:05 p.m. ET on the CBS TV channel location to be determined, and the NFC championship game will start at 6:40 p.m. ET venue to be decided on the FOX TV channel.
