Ví dụ: Everyone arrived at different times for the meeting. We must have got our wires crossed.

(Mọi người đến buổi họp vào những thời gian rất khác nhau. Chắc là chúng tôi có một sự hiểu nhầm, nhầm lẫn ở đây)

– ‘To beat about the bush” – nói “vòng vo Tam Quốc”, rào trước đón sau

Ví dụ: Politicians never give you a straight answer. They always beat about the bush.

(Các chính trị gia thường không bao giờ trả lời thẳng thắn cả. Họ luôn lòng vòng, lảng tránh)

Ví dụ: It’s a complicated system, but in a nutshell it works like a kettle.

(Đó là một hệ thống phức tạp, nhưng nói tóm lại là, nó hoạt động giống một cái ấm nước)
