1.1 Look after

Look after someone/something: to take care of or be in charge of someone or something (chăm sóc, trông nom ai/ thứ gì đó).

1.3 Look away

Look away (from someone or something): To turn one's face away; to avert one's gaze (nhìn đi chỗ khác).

Ví dụ: Jack looked away when I asked him if he had taken the money. (Jack quay mặt đi khi tôi hỏi anh ta có lấy số tiền hay không.)

1.4 Look back on

Look back on: to think about something that happened in the past (nghĩ lại chuyện trong quá khứ).

1.9 Look into

Look into something: to examine the facts about a problem or situation (xem xét).

Ví dụ: We're looking into buying a new car. (Chúng tôi đang xem xét việc mua một cái xe mới.)

1.10 Look on

Look on: to watch something happen but not become involved in it (quan sát).

Ví dụ: A large crowd looked on as the band played. (Đám đông đứng xem ban nhạc biểu diễn.)

Look on/upon someone/something: to consider or think of someone or something in a stated way.

1.13 Look at

Look at something: to think about a subject carefully so that you can make a decision about it (suy nghĩ kỹ để đưa ra quyết định).

Look at something: to consider something in a particular way (nhìn nhận).
