Sorento's equipped with the 3.3L V6 engine are capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds.
All-Wheel Drive
For those that are craving an adventure, the Kia Sorento has an available Dynamax All-Wheel Drive [AWD] system. Dynamax is a smart AWD system that continuously monitors road conditions while driving around Round Lake Beach and Round Lake. If the system notices a change in road conditions such as wet roads, dirt roads or snow, it automatically adjusts the drivetrain to ensure the right amount of traction. The system works in tandem with Kia's signature Torque Vectoring Cornering Control to ensure top-tier handling.
Technology
Aside from being robust, the Kia Sorento utilizes driver assistance and safety-oriented technologies to ensure a smooth ride. The Sorento makes use of available Lane Keeping Assistance that prevents the SUV from drifting into other lanes. It reduces collisions through the use of an available Blind-Spot Collision Warning system [BCW]. BCW monitors the side and rear blind spots of the SUV as you drive around Grayslake. When it senses another car has entered the blind spot, it uses visual alerts to warn the driver. The Sorento also makes use of Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning, which monitors blind spots when the driver is reversing.
One of the most advanced features of the Sorento is its available Smart Cruise Control [SCC] with Stop & Go technology. When SCC is activated, it scans for other vehicles in front of the Sorento. When it detects another car, it automatically applies the brakes and reduces the speed of the Sorento to avoid collisions. The system is advanced enough that it can even bring the SUV to a complete stop if it senses gridlock.
