Reported by Attention all students who are currently enrolled in an AP course: ------------ For the 2023 AP exams, students will need to follow a two-step registration process. Enrollment in an AP course does not automatically register a student for the AP exam. Students will register for their exams both through College Board and PushCoin. Students/families must actively complete both steps for an exam to be ordered in their name; exams are non-transferable. This process is
the same as last school year. The first step of the process is to register with College Board using the "Join Code" provided to students by their AP teacher. By default, all students' exam status in College Board is ‘Yes’, this can not be changed by the student at this time. Students will need to contact College Board directly if they experience difficulty with their College Board account. Waubonsie Valley staff does not have access to resolve College Board account/password issues. The
College Board contact information can be found here //about.collegeboard.org/contact-us. Next, a parent/guardian will need to submit payment through the PushCoin webstore [ //store.ipsd.org/ ]. Please note that College Board does not accept payment directly from students, all payments must be made through the PushCoin webstore. AP Exams can be added to
your cart and paid for individually. Students who do not complete their exam payment by November 1st will have their exam status changed to 'No' in the College Board portal. During the month of October, counselors will be available in each House to assist students with their College Board accounts and managing "Join Codes". Students who are not enrolled in an AP course, but who are self-studying for an exam, should seek assistance from their counselor to obtain a 'self-study' join code. Online Exam registration began on Wednesday, September 14th and will remain open until Tuesday, November 1st. Students registering in this window will be charged $100 per exam. There will be a late registration period starting November 2nd through March 1st. During this time there will be an additional late fee of $40 per exam. All payments must be made through PushCoin, we can not accept payment at WV this year. Please print a copy of the PushCoin receipt page for your records. We
know that parents may desire to register their students for exams. We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. Registration for the 2023 AP Exam Administration closes on November 1, 2022. It is important that students and their parents/guardians review the registration process outlined below and complete sign up with College Board and submit payment through the PushCoin webstore by the advertised deadline. Student exams will be canceled in College Board if
payment is not received in PushCoin by November 1st. Please reach out to your student's school counselor if you have questions on whether or not your students should take this year's AP Exams.
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Waubonsie Valley High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class,
saving a significant amount on tuition or allowing students to place out of general studies coursework.

AP 2022-2023!
Taking the Advanced Placement exam is an important part of all AP courses. A 3 or higher on an AP Exam has multiple benefits for students, including the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on AP Exams, saving them time and money [benefits may vary depending on the college students choose to attend].
Please review the information provided below for specifics on AP exams 2023.
Timeline:
Now through October 28, 2022
ALL AP STUDENTS need to register in College Board for each AP class you are taking this year using the join code provided by your AP teacher.

Once registered in both College Board and Total Registration, please pay for your AP exams through the parent portal or at the BHS Bookstore. Each AP Exam costs $100.
AP exams are tax credit eligible. However, payment through the parent portal will default into the AUX account. You may choose to have your payment moved into the tax credit account in order to claim the expense on your taxes. To do so, please make the request via email to our bookstore at Refunds will not be an option for any reason for payments moved into the tax credit account. Refunds will only be an option for a limited time to those who have paid into the aux account.

You will need to see Mr. Chandler or his assistant in the office if you wish to register and pay for AP exams.
A $40 per exam late fee will be applied.

- Students on Free/Reduced lunch - Please see Mr. Unger or Wendy in the office for payment options.
- Students with 504/IEP - Please work with your counselor to apply for accommodations for AP testing. Your accommodations must be approved by College Board 1st semester to be valid for AP testing 2023.
Refunds:
- If you need to cancel an exam, please see Mr. Chandler or his assistant, Wendy, in the office.
- A full refund will be available until 10/28/22 and a partial [50%] refund will be available from 10/29/22-2/24/23. No refunds will be available after 2/24/23.
- Refunds will ONLY be an option if you have paid into the auxiliary account. No refund for any reason will be given for payments made into the tax credit account.
Transferring Students:
- If you are a Basha student taking an AP class through COA and want to take the exam, please contact COA for join codes and information on AP Exam testing with COA.
- If your schedule changes and you have a different teacher or period for your AP class, please see Mr. Unger or Wendy in the office so that you can be switched in the system. You will want to be in the correct class [teacher and period] for the correct assignments in AP classroom.
- If you enroll at Basha after the deadlines have passed, please see Mr. Unger or Wendy in the front office for registration information and join codes.
College Board and Total Registration help:
