2023 Land Rover Discovery Overview
Think of the Land Rover Discovery as a posher, less cool, and less expensive cousin to the Defender 110. It’s about the same size, offers more features per dollar, has the same engines and will take you as deep into the boonies as you dare. All in lavish comfort.
Performance
Defenders badged P300 run with a 296-hp, 295 lb-ft 2.0L turbo four. P360 models get JLR’s impressive turbocharged and electrically supercharged 3.0L inline-six that puts out a more substantial 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft. This engine is smooth and linear, and hustles this heavy ute with little effort. Eight-speed automatics and advanced all-wheel drive systems are standard. With its long wheel travel and numb steering, the Discovery is hardly an agile sportster, but it serves up a cushy ride.Practicality
The Land Rover Discovery’s third row is well suited to children and small adults. Behind said row is a modest 257L of luggage space, expandable to 1,274 L with the seat flipped down. With the second row folded, the Discovery swallows up to 2,102L. The Disco is tow rated for 3,500 kilograms.Value
