The process started and got to 9% and and error poped up and said an error occored and the process was cancled and no changes were made. So i need some other ideas on how to factory rest my laptop

Using F11 did you use choose Reset -or Recovery Manager and choose System Recovery?

Might be a good idea to run Diagnostics and test the hard drive and memory.Immediately after powering on start tapping the Esc key. This will open a menu where F2 System Diagnostics is an option. Tap F2 key and run the tests.

Your Support page is here where you can order Recovery Media if you didn't make yours. Or check free option I mention later in Reply.

Maintenance & Service Guide is here:

If you don't want to order Recovery media you can use free option offered by Microsoft.
Your Windows 10 license key is embedded in BIOS and you can reinstall Windows without Recovery Media. Microsoft provides the free Media Creation Tool to download files and create a Windows 10 usb flash drive.Big advantage is you will have latest updated version of Windows 10. At least 8gb flash drive required:
//www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Select Download tool now, and select Run.
If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture [64-bit or 32-bit] for Windows 10.
