Help - 2 Orange, 7 White LED Blinking on XPS 15 9500 from Dell
I've recently been given this laptop from the neighbour, but their laptop broke it was the screen and they sent it out for repair but their warranty was expired. I've tried to connect external display but get 2 amber 7 flashes and then laptops shuts down after 15 seconds goes through bios and dell diagnostic but turns off. Never seen it before but I've removed the display and tried to connect external one. I've tried to look at the problem but the there's no power problem the charging port works fine so does the battery at all no power supply issue.
According to LED diagnostic its LCD failure I know however why are dell laptop unlike other laptops: HP, Lenevo and Acer etc. Those laptops allow external monitor but this one not. I'm a ThinkPad fan and got a dell latitude, hp and Acer. Need to know why? I don't wanna spent 40 bucks on a LCD and still not get my results
