Click on the song you are currently listening to via apple. Youll see 3 lines that mimic like a menu or options button. You will see an infinity sign. If that has been pressed and enabled, random songs will play. Once you tap/click on the infinity sign you disable streaming of random songs.

Click on a song from your playlist and press the button with the 3 lines [shuffle might be on]

and then turn off the infinity button, which enables autoplay of similar songs

Hope this helps [:

No. Its playing songs that are not from the album or playlist. Annoying.

Figured it out. Autoplay was on by default with some new albums and playlists. Turned off the infinity sign. Fixed.

Thank you for this! This has been driving me batty for months. Don't know why this was enable by default in a recent update, but it's annoying.

Yes but how do you change the default setting? Doing this on every playlist/album is a pain [and dumb]

Doing this once in a single playlist changed the default for all in iTunes.

Had the same issue to find out that in the updated version there is this infinity symbol that would play similar songs to those in your playlist if it ends. Just turn it off and itll be good.

To develop this somewhat more. I have this issue intermittently. It generally happens when utilizing my Homepod. I need to play a particular melody, yet my telephone is arbitrarily playing music in my playlist. I have this happen regularly and I cannot discover the reason. Does anybody know how I can fix this issue? Any assistance is valued.

The first time this happened to me was last night. Apparently there's been an upgrade since the January 4th fix was posted, because the interface no longer features an infinity symbol that I can toggle off. Help, how do I make it stop?

Finally got it -- click the bullet list button on the bottom right [not the three dots buttons at top right] to get to the view with the infinity symbol.
