At the end of episode 20 of The Blacklist, Will Red [James Spader] reveals to Liz [Megan Boone] that she is N-13, the elusive detective shes been looking for. In Nachlo, we go back to the beginning, and after eight years of questions have been answered and set the stage for the finale. Now we know why Red entered Lizs life eight years ago. The season 8 finale episode 22 is titled KONETS, which means end in Russian. Were sure the final episode is going to be thrilling as its still full of suspense. Is Red really Katarina Rostova? During the hour, Red is with Liz [Megan Boone] and Dembe [Hisham Tawfiq] in an office in Latvia where the intelligence empire runs, annotating, scanning, shredding, and analyzing intelligence from documents. Secrets of government, positions, and those in power. and comes from 17 outposts around the world. Reddington, to whom he makes all his business decisions. [But Liz wasnt here for it. Shes only here for Mom]. Liz says she saw her mother being shot. He says that he doesnt know what she saw. Reddington says I am a criminal and Ivan Stepanov is not his Russian handler, just an old friend.
The picture becomes black and white. Lizs mother, Katarina Rostova [Lotte Verbeek], who begins her career as a detective, what circumstances cause her to put Liz into Sams hands. And throughout the story, he is also linked in the story of Lizs real Raymond Reddington [ie, Lizs biological father]Young Katarina, Dom, and Ilya.
The young Katarina Rostova was a son to his father, having been molded to be a detective. Katarina is associated with some major global networks. Then Katarina [Laila Robins] and Raymonds relationship gets strained when he steals information from her. The two fight physically. Raymond drops his gun, Masha wakes up and shoots Raymond.
Katarina brought Raymond in the car to escape. Masha is in the car, that night Masha went back to the burning house to bring back her rabbit. As young Katarina was following Liz back into the house, they both got burned. She could not save her husband that night but she did not lose her daughter either.
Called young Mr. Kaplan [Susan Blommaert] and asked to put Masha with someone who could be trusted. Masha is left with Sam [William Sadlerand] her mother disappears from her life forever. The only way to keep her safe was to keep Liz away from her. She opposes this. Katarina replies that she followed Raymond to America, but the KGB and Cabal were brutal organizations that wanted her killed.
Katarina also revealed that Ilya and she had planned to take over Reddingtons $40 million. And it turns out that Ilya also implicated Red as a traitor to his country. It is also revealed that Ilya did not actually undergo surgery to pass as Reddington. Impersonated him for a few days to fool Banks. and felt it. How much can a new Redington be worth?
The interesting mode in the story, currently Katarina [Layla Robbins] enters Lizs memory circuit and tells her that she is not Lizs real mother! She was only an operative named Tatiana Petrova, who was assigned by Dom to play the role of Katarina. In order to protect the real Katarina and her real daughter, Masha, she plans to kill the fake Katarina in Belgrave. But the fake Katarina was not dead. Her husband did. And Tatiana, who wasnt actually Katarina, was forced to hide. And she [fake] was grateful to Reddington for protecting her all these years. When Dom tells Tatiana where the real Katarina is she was going to share with Townsend, Reddington kills her so that the truth doesnt reach Neville Townsend. Because the truth of Katarinas current whereabouts has always put Liz and her daughter Agnes at risk.
Why Katarina created Raymond Reddington tells Liz, Katarina created a new version of Raymond Reddington to keep Liz safe and Ivan Stepanov to help her. He informed the new, fake Reddington of 13 packets that could have been used for blackmail, giving rise to a global intelligence network The Blacklist! Which is made for the sole purpose of keeping Liz safe. Katarina tells Liz; Masha I m protecting you and your daughter, all these revelations cause Liz to become furious, asking for answers to her questions. Why do we have it now who do I want. Who has Reddington become? Then Townsend [Reg Rogers] comes.
In the last moment, Townsend and his men break into Reds Latvian building and begin a shootout as Liz never turns off the tracking chip. A bullet is shot into Lizs stomach. in meantime, Liz dares and shoots Townsend in the leg. In the meantime, They go to the buildings underground bunker and Dembe cares for Lizs wound, Red talks to Townsend over the intercom, and regrets what happened to her family. Red tells Townsend that the building is equipped with chlorine trifluoride. , which is a highly flammable gas. Then Townsend sayswhat are you gonna do to destroy all your intel and the source of your power?
Red replies, My power source is right here, looks at Liz, and says she wont be destroyed. Finally, Red presses a button, and upstairs, Townsend [Reg Rogers] and his men all go up in flames.
