Age well là gì

that didn't age well  có nghĩa là gì?

It means that it did not resist change as much. For example, an avocado is an example of something that doesn't age well because it goes bad really fast once it is cut.

These are correct but the more common meaning is in pop culture

It means someones past statements are awkward after some new information is revealed/when considered in the present. For example:

Someone shares a tweet from last year of someone saying The flu kills way more people than covid, everyone is being paranoid. Then comments that didnt age well  shows how ignorant/wrong someone was without saying it so directly.

Or watching an old movie, theres a joke that was funny at the time, but now is super offensive. You could say, well that didnt age well

Ah, this one. Something does not age well when it is projected to be something great in the beginning, but ends up being disastrous in the end. We say this when we look back at failed promises. For example, if a President says he will be inclusive and ends up making racist statements, we say, "Well, that didn't age well." TLDR; it means it "rotted."
