Antec’s VP PC power supplies promise one thing: quality performance at an incredible value. This entry-level solution gives you everything you need in a power supply, and nothing you don’t. No bells. No whistles. No nonsense.

I was aiming to buy a 450W PSU for my build however ended up ordering this as the price difference was very less. Now Antec VP series are definitely a significantly better class than Corsair VS series. The Corsair ones have cheap Chinese capacitors and the VS series are prone to failure in the long run or during voltage fluctuations. Comparatively, the Antec VP series have better quality capacitors and more stable output. In my personal opinion the Antec ones have quiter and longer lasting fans too.

This one only features sleeved 20+4 pin connectors. All other connectors are bare so keep that in mind. (The VS450 from Corsair has sleeved connectors for all pins). All standard power connectors are featured including two 6+2 pin PCIe power connectors for your graphics cards.

Power supplies are most efficient at half the rated wattage so keep this in mind while buying. Happy purchasing!

1.0 out of 5 starsWrongly connected cables on a reputed brand

Had assembled several desktops , never had faced such an issue in entire life. even with cheap local brands . The cables are connected with wrong polarity . I thought the mother board was faulty initially . Please test the product connecting to a mother board to avoid causing head ache and wastage of quality time to the customer . The plus point i could see is the mother board is still intact . The short circuit protection section works well .

Added this polarity checking Tip to my future check list for hardware troubleshooting .

IT is all black and sturdy built. used this to replace a 450w zebronics this is almost silent compared to that one the fan is silent and efficint also noticed an improvement in pc with booting and opening programs , may be the zebronics was not providing enough power . its either this or antec 300 at this price point. though this one will cover any future add ons like gpu. This is enough for most gaming systems actually especially with newer power efficint nvidia gpu. You could pair upto gtx 1070 and 125w tdp cpu with this psu. It has all the necessary connectors including 2 x 8/6 pin pcie // an 8/4 pin cpu connector also has two 12v rails for stable power distribution.. Defenitely better than corsair vs series

The motherboard cable could have been longer, I cannot direct it through my cable management. Oh well, performance wise it has not been tested yet. Will post a more detailed review once that had been done

Hello I ordered this mother board along with a few other computer parts , and while this product (mother board) was delivered I wasn't available at home so I asked the delivery person to deliver to my neighbor , which he did. But when I came home later that night and unboxed the package, inside the package wasn't a mother board but a PSU instead ( which was also one of the items I ordered) but on the Amazon app it stated that my mother board had been delivered, so Just assumed there was a mix up in package and this arrived instead and the actual time the PSU was supposed to arrive was the next day . So I was hoping they'd deliver the mother board the next day instead of the PSU since I already got it ... But when the package arrived I received another PSU . Now I have two PSUs ( ordered on

Is A 500 watt power supply good?

The sweet spot for a power supply is considered somewhere between 40% and 80% load, though according to official numbers from various manufacturers, this can differ from PSU to PSU. This is why a 500W PSU is still recommended to this day.

Is 500W power supply enough for RTX 3060?

You should be fine with a 500 watt PSU, but if it were me, I would go with at least what's suggested by the manufacturer, being 550. It is better to just get 600 watt or 750 watt. OP, You didn't mention what your CPU is, but i presume it's a mid-range 100w TDP CPU. RTX 3060 itself needs around 200 watts.

What can a 500W power supply run?

In general, a 500 watt inverter can power small electronic devices such as laptops, mobile phones, and small appliances such as blenders, coffee makers, and toasters. These devices typically require less than 500 watts of power and can be run simultaneously on a 500 watt inverter.
