Add your credit and debit cards to certain Fitbit devices to make contactless payments right from your device—even when you’re traveling internationally.

We’re making an important update to Google Wallet for Fitbit on December 31, 2023. To continue using your Visa card(s) on your Fitbit device, open the Fitbit app on your phone and tap the Wallet tile.

If you don’t update your Visa card(s) before December 31, payments with your existing card(s) might be declined.

To check if your card works on your Fitbit device, see:

  • Fitbit Pay: fitbit.com/fitbit-pay/banks
  • Google Pay: fitbit.com/global/us/technology/google-apps/banks*

*Note that this list is specifically for Fitbit devices and differs from the list of banks and countries compatible with Google Pay on your phone.

Make contactless payments with Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Charge 6, Fitbit Sense, Fitbit Sense 2, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa 3, Fitbit Versa 4, and editions of Fitbit Charge 3 and Fitbit Versa that contain an NFC chip. To check if your device supports contactless payments:

  • Fitbit Versa: turn your watch over and look for "Fitbit Pay" in the text surrounding the heart-rate sensor.

  • Fitbit Charge 3: remove the bottom band and look for "Fitbit Pay" printed on the end of the tracker.

Use your Fitbit device to purchase items in any store that accepts contactless payments or to ride select transit systems. To determine if the store accepts contactless payments, look for the symbol below on the payment terminal:

You can also use your Fitbit device on transit readers that accept contactless credit or debit card payments, such as Sydney's ferry and light rail networks. For more details, see

Google Pay is available on Charge 6, Sense 2, and Versa 4. Google Pay has all the same great features as Fitbit Pay* with a more integrated Google experience. To switch to Google Pay:

    your device.
  2. Tap the Wallet tile.
  3. Tap Change to Google Pay, and sign in to your Google account.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a card to Google Pay. Note that your cards aren’t migrated from Fitbit Pay, so you need to add them to Google Pay.

After setting up Google Pay, the Wallet tile in the Fitbit app will change to the Google Wallet tile. For questions about Google Pay that aren't related to your Fitbit device, see .

*If you use an iPass or Suica card on your Fitbit device, you should continue to use Fitbit Pay.

Google Wallet is available on Charge 6, Sense 2, and Versa 4 in most locations. If you don't see the option to set up Google Wallet when you tap the Wallet tile in the Fitbit app:

  1. Make sure your Fitbit device is up-to-date. For instructions, see How do I update my Fitbit device?
  2. If you recently updated your Fitbit device, wait 24 hours, and then check the Wallet tile again.

Note that if you’re setting up Charge 6 in Japan or Taiwan, your tracker uses Fitbit Pay.

To start, add at least 1 credit or debit card from a participating bank in the Fitbit app:

  1. With your device nearby, from the Today tab
Hướng dẫn sử dụng fitbit surge	Informational, Transactional
in the Fitbit app, and tap the devices icon
Hướng dẫn sử dụng fitbit surge	Informational, Transactional
    .
  2. Tap your device, then tap the Google Wallet or Wallet tile.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a payment card. In some cases, your bank may require additional verification. If you’re setting up contactless payments for the first time, you may be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your device. Note that you also need passcode protection enabled for your phone.
  4. After you add a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your phone (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup.

You can add additional cards and choose which card to set as the default payment option on your device from the Google Wallet or Wallet tile.

Note: To make contactless payments with Charge 5 or Charge 6 in Australia and New Zealand, follow the instructions below for all card types. If prompted to enter a PIN code, enter your 4-digit tracker PIN code (not the PIN code for your card). For more information about setting a PIN code, see the related help article.

All customers, including those in Australia and New Zealand:

  1. Swipe down from the clock face and tap Payments or Google Wallet.
  2. If prompted, enter your 4-digit tracker PIN code. Your default card appears on the screen.

Note that the payments screen might be hidden if you haven't set up contactless payments. If you don't see the payments screen, follow the instructions in to add a card to your Fitbit device.

For added security, you must wear your device on your wrist to make contactless payments.

All customers except those in Australia:

  1. Open the payments screen on your device:

Fitbit Pay includes many security features. Fitbit Pay uses an industry-standard tokenization platform to ensure your card information is never revealed or shared with merchants or with Fitbit. Fitbit Pay also requires you to use a personal 4-digit PIN code for an added layer of protection.

Google Pay protects your payment info with multiple layers of security, using one of the world’s most advanced security infrastructures to help keep your account safe. When you pay in stores, Google Pay doesn’t share your actual card number, so your information stays secure. Using contactless payments on your Fitbit device also requires you to use a personal 4-digit PIN code for an added layer of protection.

After you delete a card, the card is removed from the Fitbit app and you can no longer use it to make payments with your device.

To remove a card from your Fitbit device:

  1. From the Today tab
Hướng dẫn sử dụng fitbit surge	Informational, Transactional
in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon

Contact Fitbit Customer Support to deactivate Suica.

If you misplaced your device, you can suspend the card you added to the device instead of deleting it from Fitbit Pay. When you suspend a card, it remains in your Wallet, but you can’t use it to make payments with your device. If you locate your device, you can unsuspend the card and then use it to make payments.

To suspend a card:

  1. From the Today tab
