Nature republic 92 aloe vera review năm 2024

I have been using Aloe Vera gels for many years now, and for many purposes. I find Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel works best for me for a decent price here in the world of Korean Beauty. There are ones with higher percentage, good for other stuff, but the ones between 90 and 95% I find work the best for me. And since Nature Republic is quite affordable, this gel has been a good option for the past few months. Now that the warm weather is arriving to Korea, I decided to review this and let you know all of the good things that come with this gel!

Claims:

Enriched with natural aloe vera, this soothing gel consists of california aloe vera can be used to mildly moisturize various parts of the body such as the face, arms, leg and hair.

Ingredients:

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (92%), Alcohol, Glyceryl Polyacrylyne, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, Polyglutamic Acid, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Spearmint Extract, Melissa Officinalis Extract, Carbomer, Peg-60, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Water, Fragrance, Disodium Edta

Volume: 300ml

How to use:

Apply an appropriate amount to dry, sensitive parts of the face and body often for the best results.

My Skin Type: Oily T, dry U, blemished, sensitive, and allergic.

First things first, let’s analyze the package and the product!

The package is full “to its ears”, with so much product. And 300 g for some reason feel so heavy for something that looks so beautiful and light!

It has a protective lid, to prevent the product from going around when closed. This lid actually does its job pretty well, I have let this box fall after my first opening, and I don’t always store it straight, and nothing has leaked past the protective lid.

The gel smells like most aloe gels. Light, aloe-ish. And this one smells like something else, maybe it’s all those plants in the mixture, but it actually smells incredibly fresh.

The gel is really liquid once it “melts” on the skin. You can see in the photo the lump of gel started sliding down my wrist.

Here you can see it after spreading and a few moments after it absorbed. It hydrates, clearly, the amount of moisture on my skin seems to have doubled after this.

Now, for the uses of the product!

Usage 1: Cooling Agent

There is no photo because I don’t have a skin thermometer, but when you are feeling hot you can apply this gel straight out of the fridge. And even if you simply keep it out of sunny areas or out of warm areas, when you go outside it can then also be used to cool down your skin.

You can actually feel a temperature difference, and it lasts for a decent amount of time. The higher the temperature outside and the lower the gel temperature, the fresher you will feel. This works with aloe gel because as it is a hydrating agent it will let the freshness absorb into your skin.

On a Korean TV show (I think it was get it beauty) they tested Aloe Vera Gel, facial mist, and something else I don’t quite remember, as body temperature lowering agents. Aloe Vera achieved the lowest temperature for a longer amount of time.

Usage 2: Damage Relief

It can be used to soothe your skin after you get burned, sunburned, bitten by an insect, or after you shave (make sure you have a version without alcohol for this), or even when your skin is simply irritated. In this photo after cleaning the house my knee must have encountered some dust and was burning slightly on my skin. So I applied the gel, and I got instant relief! It also reduced the redness.

And if you shave with razor, although you should use the gel or cream they give you to use right afterwards, for the next few days after you shower or after you go in the sun it’s a great idea to use aloe gel.

Usage 3: Hydration (of course)

When it comes to extremely dry skin like, lets say, knees and elbows and flaky skin, if you just apply a moisturizing cream it is not that effective. The reason for that is: a moisturizer seals moisture into the skin, a hydrating agent increases the amount of water in the skin. So in places that need extreme help, you should use both.

My elbow before, during, and after just using aloe. Imagine if I put some nice classic blue Nivea on top of this, I believe my elbows would stop complaining. But even without you can see a difference on my skin grain.

Usage 4: Facial Mask

Steam mask:

The way to do this is quite simple: wash your face with warm water, pat it dry gently. Apply a rich amount of aloe gel, it should not be so thin because it will absorb onto your skin instantly. Soak a facial towel with warm water, the warmest you can take without getting burned (it is very important not to get burned, we all know the damage that causes on our skin).

In my case the right temperature is soaking it in 45 Celsius degrees water. Then squeeze out as much water as you can from it, so it won’t drip onto the gel. Place the towel on your face, covering as much as possible (don’t forget to breathe). Because I use such a low temperature on the towel I have to reheat it and reapply the towel 2 more times. And once the towel cools down, you can remove it. Now, since I feel that too much aloe gel is a bit sticky, I like to gently remove the excess of the gel that was not absorbed. You can use the towel for that or you can use a wet facial tissue. Then do a normal skin routine.

This “mask” basically injects hydration into your skin. People who can stand high temperatures can also see their pores sizes reduce slightly, by doing this once a week or once every two weeks. But never force yourself when it comes to temperatures. It also gives deeper soothing treatment to sensitive parts.

Results of the mask. Before, when the pimples were irritated, and after when they became simply a white head instead of painful and red. You can also get an idea of what the eye mask results in.

Eye mask: Soak cotton pads in this and just put it on your eyes and rest for 10 minutes. It relieves tired and dry eyes.

Wash off mask: Mix with your favorite yogurt, or honey, or crushed berries, or a combination of these and apply a thick layer to your face. Without doing anything else, just leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes as you would a normal mask and wash off.

Usage 5: Scrub Mask

I can’t take photos of this right now because I just did the steam mask. But this one is even simpler. You mix big grained sugar into a bit of aloe. The consistency is all up to your preference. Then you scrub it gently on your cleansed skin. And then wash it off and go on with your skin care!

Instead of sugar (or along with) you can add freshly crushed nuts (fat nuts, like peanuts and almonds). It makes it better for acne prone skins, because of the properties of the nuts. But don’t forget to be careful and avoid scrubbing on your sensitive breakouts!

Usage 6: Make up Primer

In case of emergency, this gel can be used as primer. Of course, a primer is a primer, but for those who don’t own one, or ran out of theirs, you can use this before you start applying your makeup. But just a little bit of it!

Usage 7: Hair Mask

With or without adding olive oil, argan oil, coconut oil, or other hair friendly oils, you can apply this gel to the lower part of your hair, or to the scalp also if your scalp is sensitive. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Then wash it of with lukewarm water, as you would any other hair mask!

These are just the things I discovered by instinct as I used it, I’m sure you can find more, or even look for more online.

The reason why I like Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is because it has a nice scent (not all brands have a particularly nice one, sometimes they are just bland), it is a high amount of aloe but not too much (which means it is not too sticky), and it is affordable.

Also I did come across some aloe gels without the safety lid and it was always a “party” whenever I opened the box. So, this specific one fits all my requirements for an aloe vera gel!

In the end any aloe gel is a good aloe gel. But I like this one.

By the way — all of those tips I have done them for many years! And they can also be done with cucumber gel or bamboo gel, since they are quite similar to aloe gel.
