Is a single weave judo gi good?

Single weave is just that – a single layer of cotton. Single weave gis are light and comfortable, and are easy to grip. They are generally less expensive than double weave gis. They are great for training, and we recommend them for beginners and children.

Does Fuji judo gi shrink?

I machine wash this gi on the 'dedicates and knits' setting to have minimal shrinking. It did shrink a little bit the first time but an almost negligible amount (less than an inch off the sleeves).

What judo gi should I buy?

From Judo for Beginners… If your kids are budding Judokas or you're teaching Judo for beginners, you will want the kids to start their practice in a 100cm-150cm Judo suit made of supple and lightweight fabric. Once they start competing, it might be worth investing in a more resistant 350gsm Judo gi.
