Can I stop Pandora autoplaying when Android Auto is launched? (bluetooth is disabled on phone)
0
Pandora auto plays when I open Android Auto. When I close Android Auto, Pandora does not close and I have to open it manually and close it manually to fully exit Pandora after exiting Android Auto.

My car does not have bluetooth. I have disabled my phone's bluetooth before launching Android Auto.
I have also unchecked the box in Pandora settings that auto launches when connecting to bluetooth.
I have also unchecked the box in Pandora settings that auto plays when a playlist completes.
I have also looked for other questions or resolutions to this issue of which I've found a few questions, but no resolutions.

This question was about the same thing and was locked with no resolution, though one user mentioned they had the same issue.

Same, any audio that I have played before through AA auto plays again whenever I restart AA. I understand thats is intentional, but if I close the audio app before shutting down AA then the next time, the audio app should still be closed after launching AA. Very annoying.

having the same problem, but with Google Music. It starts up with the last song I ever played on Google Music, which was probably over a year ago!

It would be nice if Google would answer this problem. Android and android auto are both their products. What setting do we need to disable to keep Pandora from launching when the auto launch is already disabled on the Pandora side of the equation?

Thanks Peter, but could you be a bit more specific with your suggestion? I haven't been able to find that setting. Is that in Android settings or Pandora settings?

So, that only solved part of the problem. Pandora still remains open and requires me to open it manually and close it before it's completely closed.

I have a similar problem with a Moto G6. Also if I dont remember to put my phone BACK on do not disturb after disconnecting from my car, Pandora will sometimes start playing randomly (eg, 30 minutes later) loudly from my phone!
