First and foremost let me say that I had a scar revision done in 01/2017. For the first year I didn't really do much other than use a bland non scented moisturizer and a silicone sheet time to time. I didn't really care for the silicone sheet. It tends to tug on the skin and peel away newly formed skin on a fresh scar. I felt that it was irritating the scarred area when removed due to the tugging.

I started to use Scar Esthetique in 04/2018 originally. I used it once or twice a day at best for close to a year. I was inconsistent with it's usage and didn't apply 3-4 times per day as suggested. I did feel that the scar was well hydrated even with one time application per day. The silicone seemed to form an occlusive barrier and the scar site was smooth to the touch throughout the day. I preferred this over the silicone sheet. I also felt that the product has skin calming ingredients.

Parts of the scar improved color wise and turned white whereas some parts remained red/purple. I don't know if that is due to the cream of just what was bound to happen naturally by my body. The scar definitely became smoother to the touch and wasn't as firm. The scar is now as soft as it will likely stay.
There are still visible blood vessels below the scar surface in some parts of the scar so I doubt that the cream will remove this redness given that the scar is now over 3 years old. The scar is pretty much flat and only slightly raised. I think this is probably the best it will be.

I'm certain that this product works I'm still using it 2 years later daily but I feel that I may need laser therapy to remove the redness from the scar in the long term. I will continue to keep this product on hand. It's a great moisturizer and has proven ingredients that should improve a scar in the long term. What that long term is remains to be seen. Perhaps I'll have to through 3-5 tubes of this product to achieve full desirability as some in other reviews have noted.

Please don't purchase if you think this cream or any other scar remedy will work overnight because you will be disappointed. These products can improve a scar over time with persistent use but there is no overnight cure for a scar. The idea is to use them long term and over time. These are natural ingredients that take time to work and often appear as if they might not be working due to their slow nature. Also keep in mind there is no magic wand that will erase a scar. One can only improve it's appearance, such as color, texture and height, so it's imperative from a psychological aspect to be realistic with what improved scar appearance means. Improved doesn't mean erased so please be patient and diligent.

Overall I would recommend this product. It has proven ingredients and also if it doesn't work for one person it may work for another. For the price point though it's a quality product from a trusted company that takes pride in making skin products and places a lot of emphasis on scar improvement.

The price is high for this product. It takes a while to work. You have to wait for 1 to 2 hours to completely absorb. The best part is it helped fade the scar. You will need to spend a lot of money before your scar disappeared.

It helps in the healing of the scar, but you have to apply it several times per day for months. Also, the scar that is present should be the result of a "healed" incision or injury. If it's still healing, this product may help, but it won't really lessen it a great deal. My scar is lighter, and getting lighter so that it shows less. I have used many tubes of this stuff.

I had a tummy tuck done back in june and Doctor listed this creme as top favorite for healing. (Mederma was the 4th option given). I wanted the best result so I ordered it and started using it. My scar is healing so well, people I have shown cannot believe the surgery was only 2 months ago. having darker skin complexion I was afraid of keloids....not a chance! Strongly recommend this product to people who have had cosmetic procedures done.

I'm using this to reduce the appearance of scars from a recent rhinoplasty and although it does reduce the color of the scars it also causes me to break out extremely badly anywhere the cream is applied. It was expensive enough that I am still using it and putting up with the unwanted side effect but I would recommend looking for other options.

I've been using Scar-Esthetique Scar Creme for about 3 weeks and I have not seen any significant to my scar. I had a post scar from surgery and I would like to see the thick protruding scar to be less visible. The cream itself is nice and light and absorbs into the skin pretty quickly.

Meh. Not really seeing any improvement in old or new surgical scars. Much better results using silicone self adhesive strips.

This cream was recommended by my doctor to use following surgery. My incisions did not close properly and I developed large unsightly scars. After using this cream for a month, there has been dramatic improvement in both the appearance of the scars as well as a softening of the scars. I would highly recommend this product!

Awesome scar cream! Have used for about a month, but forget to do it 3-4 times a day! But the results have been good! I had a spider bite that left a chunk in my quad and having muscular legs and wearing shorts and skirts and dresses with that dark scar was horrible! This stuff is working awesome and would be even better if I would remember to use it the 3-4x daily!
