Sony xz2 top 10 features double tap to wake năm 2024

As a physically disabled customer, I used "Double tap to wake" on my Xperia Z3 almost exclusively because once my phone is in a protective case, the buttons become harder for me to press.

I've recently upgraded to the Xperia XZ2 and am very disappointed to find that useful feature is no longer available.

The new "lift to check" feature does not work for me because it either takes me too long to lift the phone due to muscle weakness or my lifting doesn't register to turn the screen on.

I hope Sony, who I've generally found to be the most accessible finds a way to bring this feature back soon.

@ThomasHansenthere's no double tap to wake/sleep feature in recent Xperia phones. on the XZ2 Compact there's "Raise to wake" in Settings > Display > Lift to check device > On, that could be used as a replacement.

Can't you just quickly press the power button to wake it up?

Seems not much more complicated than a double tap on the screen to me... (double-tapping doesn't seem a good idea anyway considering the rounded back)

How do you double tap to wake Xperia xz3?

If you delve into the “Ambient display” options and enable “Smart activation”, then double tapping the display will show the clock and notifications, double tapping again will show the lock screen. So the method is slightly contrived, but it works.

How do I turn on double tap to wake up my Android phone?
