might be a silly question but do you need the adapter to plug in a 3.5mm audio jack? I ask bc I heard a reviewer say it has the same audio piece from the xt4 that connects via usbc, but i clearly see in pics it has a mic and headphone jack. Thanks!

It has a microphone port, but if you want to connect headphones to the camera to monitor audio, you'd need to use a USB adapter [there should be one in the box].
