Tennessee Real Estate License: AllTotal Hours Required: 16 Mandatory Hours: 6 Elective Hours: 10 Renewal Cycle in Years: 2 Education Cycle in Months: 24 Tennessee Real Estate Affiliate Brokers and Brokers are required to take 16 continuing education hours every 24 months. The TREC Core Course is a specific 6- hour course designated by the Commission. Licensees should remember that a failure to complete the TREC Core Course will prevent renewal of the license even if the licensee completes a total of 16 hours of education. NOTE: Pre-license courses may not be used for continuing education. NOTE: The Commission could increase the number of hours in the required Core Course. No Final Exam Passing Requirement LimitationsThere are no limits on the number of CE hours allowed to be taken online.
