Start your presentationBefore you start your presentation in Keynote on Mac, decide if you want to play your slideshow in a window or in fullscreen. Playing in a window allows you to access other information on your Mac during a presentation. To choose an option, choose Play > In Window or Play > In Fullscreen. To start your presentation in Keynote on your Mac, choose Play > Play Slideshow, then adjust the presentation window to the desired size if your slideshow is playing in a window. To start your presentation in Keynote on your iPhone or iPad, tap to select the slide you want to begin with, then tap the Play button To start your presentation in Keynote for iCloud, click the Play button Use the presenter display window in Keynote for Mac and iCloudIn Keynote for Mac and iCloud, you can view presenter controls in a separate window. Presenter notes and the current and next slides appear in a separate window to keep the audience focused on your presentation. To show the presenter display window in Keynote for Mac, move your pointer near the top of the slideshow window, then click the presenter display window button  To go to the next or previous slides, use the left and right arrow keys. If you want the presenter display window on your Mac to be hidden from viewers, make sure the setting “Show presenter display window in other applications” is not selected in the Slideshow tab of Keynote preferences. Some video conferencing apps will always show the presenter display window if it is in the shared screen area. Mac / Zoom / 28 July 2022 PowerPoint presentations don’t have to be full-screen, that’s the default and normal way to show a deck, but a window option is also there. A windowed presentation lets you display the slides in other software like
virtual cameras or desktop capture. Go to Slide Show | Setup Slide show and choose ‘Browsed by an individual (window)’. The options are the same in PowerPoint for Windows or Mac. Start the slide show (Slide Show | From Beginning or From Current Slide) as usual except now it appears in a resizable window. Windowed presentation controlsThere are back and forward slide buttons on the bottom status bar (see above). Click on the icon between those two buttons to see some more options. The same options appear if you right-click in the presentation while windowed.
It would be really nice if Presenter View could appear in a second window – but alas it’s not an option. That would let the use control the presentation properly while the slides appear in another window (which could be visible via a third-party tool). Switching Full Screen and window slide showStarting from a windowed presentation means you can switch between Full Screen and the window presentation without showing the entire PowerPoint menus etc. It’s a little neater and more professional. Go to Full Screen from the menu option. In Full Screen mode press Escape to return to the windowed presentation. Why use a windowed PowerPoint presentation?Having the slides in a resizable window gives you options not available when the deck is taking up the whole screen. A windowed presentation can be selected as an input option for a virtual camera or other service which lets you choose to display a selected running program. Full screen PowerPoint can’t be selected but the same slide can be chosen from a windowed presentation. In the top right corner of the Presenter View you will see that you can click on the icon to move from full screen ode into windowed mode. This allows you to resize the Presenter View window.
Which tool or option is used to show the presentation in full screen?Click the Start From Beginning command on the Quick Access toolbar, or press the F5 key at the top of your keyboard. The presentation will appear in full-screen mode.
